Every year, Sonalee Kulkarni makes it a point to celebrate Rakshabandhan with her family. "It's an annual ritual to partake in the Rakshabandhan celebrations with my brother Atul and our cousins. Everyone comes together to celebrate the bond we share," says the actress.
This year though, Sonalee and Atul's Rakshabandhan involves something they haven't done before - a bowling contest! The siblings faced-off at a bowling alley and had an absolute gala of a time.

"Both of us love healthy competition and bowling is something we can do at the drop of a hat. So it was fun to engage in this session after the traditional Rakshabandhan celebration at home," says Sonalee. On his part Atul adds, "Sonalee is a guide and advisor for me. She has always been there for me and is extremely caring. She is basically the cool and understanding sister."

On her bond with her brother...

"Atul is the more calm and composed among the two of us," says Sonalee adding, "We are more like friends and have a treasure trove of memories to remember. Atul brings maturity to our bond and I think both of us are very honest to each other. It is the basis of our bond."

On her oldest Rakshabandhan memory...

Sharing a pic from their first Rakshabandhan celebration, Sonalee says, "We probably had no idea what was going on but seeing the photo today brings back all the memories Atul and I have together."

Rakshabandhan for me is a sacred bond. It needn't be with a blood relation but there should be beautiful memories and mutual respect associated with it
